There is, unfortunately, much not to love about WordPress 2.5.x. The widget manager is one, the Write Post interface is another. There's a lot of conversation about the new admin interface in general; the devs claim it's more useful and friendly while experienced users feel it cripples them. I can provide links to several interesting discussions if you'd like to get involved. -

@minitotoro Yes, it certainly is quiet, isn't it? And I really do like the comments feature, because conversations are so easy to keep track of (if, I suppose, a bit tricky to manage over true SMS if you're the type who updates via text message on your phone). -

That's a good question, David. I'm not sure how Jaiku would know whether a particular IM is part of an established thread or not. Sam, have you been posting your replies via IM or the Jaiku web page? -
Not as friendly, but I think there's a lot of potential here. I really like the conversation threading (if that's the proper term for it). -

Oh, I definitely agree, Evo. One of Twitter's shortcomings is that when the "@[username]" function is used, the tweet is automatically associated with [username]'s most recent tweet, which may or may not be relevant to the conversation. -
I think Jaiku maintains that linear nature (comments appear in the stream) but adds an element of order to the chaos (comments are associated with a particular Jaiku and clicking an individual comment brings up any related comments/jaikus). However, if people don't utilize the "add comment" function, then individual jaikus that may have related to something may be lost in that respect. -
A fine question. I think the ability to directly add comments to a Jaiku muddies that process a bit. Good for when you want to reply directly to something, maybe not so good when you want "Hey, so-and-so, I need your attention over here." -
